HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held a telephone conversation with US president-elect Donald Trump, congratulating him on winning the elections.
HH the Emir expressed his best wishes for Trump and for bilateral relations and co-operation to develop further during his term to benefit the people of both the countries.
The Emir also stressed the importance of enhancing joint work to achieve stability and security in the region.
For his part, the president-elect expressed his thanks to HH the Emir and stressed his keenness on enhancing strategic relations between the two countries.
