Qatar and Argentina  yesterday signed an agreement on reciprocal encouragement and protection of investments.
The agreement was signed for Qatar by HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani and for Argentina by Vice President  Marta Gabriela Michetti.
The reciprocal encouragement and protection of investments agreement aims to create a good investment climate between the two countries, establish favourable conditions for investments by investors of the two countries, and promote and protect those investments.
The trade exchange between Qatar and Argentina amounted to about $181mn in 2015. Argentina is Qatar’s trading partner No 38. Qatari exports to Argentina reached about $147mn  in 2015, while the value of imports amounted to about $34mn.
