A Doha Criminal Court is reviewing the case of an expatriate man accused of stealing QR150,000 from the safe in his manager's office.

Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that the man was also accused of stealing some computers and tablets worth QR50,000 from the same office.

The accused has already left the country. The manager testified before the court that the accused used to work in his company. The theft took place while the manager was away from the country for treatment. When he was abroad, the others employees told him that they opened the safe of the accused to get some documents and found a key, which turned out to be that of the manager's own safe. When they opened the manager's safe with the key, it was found empty.

The manager told the court that he kept his safe's key along with that of his car, which the accused used to drive for official purposes.
