Strong winds, dusty conditions and low visibility are expected in parts of the country by this afternoon, the Qatar Met department has said.
Offshore areas, too, are likely to experience strong winds along with high seas in the early hours today, according to the weather report.
The wind speed may go up to 22 knots in some inshore areas by the afternoon and reach a high of 23 knots in offshore areas at first.
Visibility, meanwhile, may drop to 3km or less in some places at times.
The detailed forecast for inshore areas also says it will be hot during the day and slight to blowing dust is expected in some areas by the afternoon. Hazy conditions are likely by night.
Slight dust is expected in offshore areas, where the sea level may rise to 7ft in some places at first.
A maximum temperature of 41C was recorded yesterday in the Doha airport area, Al Rayyan, Wakrah, Mesaieed and Turayna, followed by 40C in the Qatar University area.
Today, the mercury level is expected to reach a high of 39C in Al Khor and 38C in Doha, Mesaieed and Wakrah.
