The Traffic Department reported 428 cases of vehicles overtaking from the right, which constitutes a violation of traffic laws, on Saturday, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) tweeted on Sunday.
The MoI also informed that there were 309 violations pertaining to motorists not using seatbelts, 52 for parking in slots designated for persons with disabilities and another 52 for using mobile phones while driving.
The ministry also stressed, through a series of tweets, the need for motorists to observe safe driving methods by complying with traffic regulations on key aspects such as lane discipline, speed limit, wearing seatbelts and using mobile devices, among others.
