The College of Education (CED) at Qatar University (QU) organised its annual orientation day to welcome new faculty members.
During the ceremony, former dean Dr Hessa Sadeq was honoured by recognising her efforts in developing the College’s programmes and obtaining accreditation from prestigious
international institutions.
CED dean Dr Ahmed Alemadi welcomed the 12 new faculty members and reiterated the focus on academic quality and preserving the identity of QU and Qatar.
Dr Alemadi also emphasised the importance of maintaining the relationships between the College and different academic and educational community in Qatar as part of the College’s social endeavours to enhance the educational services provided by schools in Qatar.
CED also organised an orientation session for 410 new students who started their academic journey earlier this week. The session familiarised the students with the undergraduate programmes, students’ clubs and the services provided in CED.
