Qatar University College of Education (QU-CED) welcomed new masters students recently in an orientation exercise to introduce them to their respective programmes, and to the various services, resources and facilities that will serve to support them throughout their years of study.

The students from Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Liberia, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, Sudan, Syria, United Kingdom, United States, and Yemen were new admits to CED’s graduate programmes - Master of Education in Educational Leadership, Master of Education in Special Education, and Master of Arts in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. This year’s cohort of students has one of the highest proportions of Qatari students admitted to these programmes, almost one-third of all the new students.

CED dean Dr Ahmed al-Emadi welcomed the newly-admitted students and wished them a successful academic journey. “By choosing advanced studies in education, you will contribute to fulfilling the college’s mission to shaping the future of Qatar through excellence in teaching, scholarship, and leadership,” he said.
