The Hamad General Hospital (HGH) Emergency Department on Thursday received more than 800 cases, including two deaths, from early in the morning until 6pm.
Thirteen of these cases pertained to heart disease, while three were injuries sustained in road accidents.
Most of the patients returned home after receiving treatment.
Al Wakra Hospital received more than 350 cases in the same period and there were no reports of any serious accidents or deaths.
The Ambulance Service registered some 257 calls for help, with seven for road accidents.
The Paediatric Emergency Centres received more than 1,200 cases across the country.
