HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has performed the funeral prayer for Lance Corporal Mohamed Awadh Salem and troopers Mohamed Dawood Khayyal and Mohamed Nasser Mohamed who were martyred while carrying out their duty within the Saudi-led Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen. The prayers took place yesterday evening at the Mosque of Mesaimeer cemetery. HH the Emir attended the burial ceremony of the martyrs along with their families. HH the Emir offered condolences to the families of the martyrs, praying Almighty Allah to grant their souls rest in Paradise. The funeral prayers were attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and a number of people. Yesterday evening, HH the Emir  received a call from President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi of the Republic of Yemen, during which he expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Emir on the martyrdom of the three soldiers from the Qatari armed forces. The  president expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs and to the Qatari people. Meanwhile, HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Major General Ghanim bin Shaheen al-Ghanim has reaffirmed that the Qatari forces taking part in the Saudi-led Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen are performing their duty fully as required and are giving dearly for the cause. Speaking after participating in the funeral prayers,  the chief of staff said the martyrs had contributed to raising their country’s name high.
