A Doha criminal court has reviewed the case of four men accused of renting a residential apartment and converting it into a den to circulate and consume illicit drugs.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that two of the defendants had rented the apartment claiming they will use it as a family accommodation. However, suspicions started to crop up as many men used to frequent the apartment. The issue was brought to the attention of the security department concerned and their movements in and out of the place were tracked.
On a designated date, the authorities raided the apartment, after taking the necessary legal procedures, and arrested four men in possession of illicit drugs such as hashish, cocaine and tramadol. Investigations revealed that these four were the most frequent visitors to the apartment and their blood samples proved they used to
consume illicit drugs.
Besides, the authorities found the place equipped for illicit drug consumption. The case is being reviewed by the court.
