HIA had the other day advised departing passengers to arrive at the airport three hours before the flight “to enjoy a comfortable and seamless journey”.
The HIA advisory said the rush is expected to continue until September 14. People who are dropping off or collecting passengers have been advised to use the short-term car park, which offers complimentary parking for the first 30 minutes and costs QR5 per hour thereafter.
The number of arriving passengers has also increased, as more Doha residents return after their summer vacation.
