The admissions department at Qatar University (QU) yesterday held an orientation event for new students for Fall 2016, for familiarising them with the university, its programmes, resources, facilities, services, academic and extracurricular activities, and rules and regulations.
During the event, the new arrivals were provided the opportunity to gain relevant information that would ease their transition into the new academic environment. They participated in a number of activities to get acquainted with their colleagues and toured the campus and its facilities.
The event also included an exhibition featuring a number of booths by the Academic Excellence Programme, Career Services Centre, Centre for Academic Advising, Housing Department, Inclusion and Special Needs Support Centre, Information Technology Department, Medical Clinic, Parents Programme, QU Library, Scholarships and Partnerships Office, Student Activities Department, Student Affairs Sector, Student Counselling Centre, Student Representative Board, Student Services Department, and Transportation Services. The orientation exercises will continue until September 8.

admitted students.
