A sodden outfield has prevented play before tea on the second day of the fourth and final Test between the West Indies and India at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad yesterday.
After two inspections of the outfield following torrential rain on Thursday and overnight, the umpires scheduled another yesterday afternoon but decided against resuming play.
Rain and a saturated field had limited play to just 22 overs on the opening day on Thursday.
West Indies are 62-2 in their first innings after winning the toss and choosing to bat, with Kraigg Brathwaite 32 not out and Marlon Samuels unbeaten on four.
