The closure, which is to be carried out in co-operation with the Traffic Department, begins on Friday and will last for two-and-a-half months, Ashghal has said in a press statement.
The closed part extends from Al Shaflahiya Street’s intersection with Al Duhail Street to the Jerian Nijema intersection (Al Duhail Street intersection with Arab League Street), while the service road will be kept open in one direction, the statement explains.
During the closure period, motorists travelling from Al Shaflahiya Street (Environment Street extension) towards Al Duhail Street, heading to Arab league Street, can use the service road on Al Duhail Street and follow the traffic diversion signs, as shown on the map.
Ashghal will instal road signs to advise motorists of the closure. It has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow road signs to ensure everyone’s safety.
