Employees of Pakistan's national airline are in custody and under investigation after drugs were seized from a Dubai-bound flight, a spokesman said on Monday.
Anti-narcotic officers took the drugs from a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft at Lahore airport.
"Anyone found guilty will be strictly dealt with. PIA is fully facilitating with other agencies involved in the probe," spokesman Danyal Gilani said.
He did not say how many employees were being questioned. Nor did he give details on the type or quantity of the drugs seized. No formal charges have been made against the employees, he added.
Charges and punishment would depend on the result of the investigation, Gilani said.
PIA, which was one of the world's leading airlines until the 1970s, has been involved in numerous controversies over the years including the jailing of a drunk pilot in Britain in 2013.
