Qatar and Argentina signed three Memorandums of Understanding  (MoUs) following a session of official talks chaired by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Argentinian President Mauricio Macri yesterday night at the Quinta de Olivos Presidential Palace here.
The talks reviewed bilateral relations and means of developing them, particularly in the fields of economy and investment, so as to enhance the level of co-operation between the two countries.
The talks also touched on developments in the Middle East and the international arena.
Following the talks, the Emir and the Argentinian president witnessed the signing of the following MoUs: 
1. An MoU on co-operation in the legal field between the justice ministries of Qatar and Argentina. 
2. An MoU on co-operation in the field of diplomatic training between the Diplomatic Institute at the State of Qatar’s Foreign Ministry and the National Foreign Service Institute (ISEN) at Argentina’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
3. An MoU on holding political consultations between the foreign ministries of Qatar and Argentina.
Members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir and several Argentinian ministers were present at the signing ceremony.
The Emir was accorded an official welcoming ceremony upon his arrival at the Presidential Palace.
Earlier on arrival in Buenos Aires yesterday the Emir was welcomed at Ministro Pistarini Airport (Ezeiza) by Argentina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Susana Malcorra, Qatar’s ambassador to Argentina Fahad Ibrahim al-Mana, Argentina’s ambassador to Qatar Rossana Cecilia Surballe, several Arab ambassadors accredited to Argentina and members of the Qatari embassy in Argentina. 
Meanwhile, HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani held a separate meeting with his Argentinian counterpart Susana Malcorra here yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and Argentina and ways to further develop them, as well as latest regional and international developments.
