Light rain was reported from the southern parts of the country Monday  evening, according to information available on the Met department’s social media channels.

There are chances of isolated rain Tuesday as well, the weather office has said.
Videos of rain as well as poor visibility caused by windy and dusty conditions were posted on the department’s Twitter and Facebook pages late yesterday evening. Low visibility was reported from places such as Abu Samra, Batna, Umm Bab and Messaied, with the weather office tweeting around 10pm that the situation was expected to improve gradually over the next couple of hours.
The forecast for inshore areas Tuesday hazy to misty conditions are likely in some places at first. It will be hot during the day and some clouds are expected by the afternoon along with a chance of isolated rain.
Offshore areas, meanwhile, will see hazy to misty conditions at times.
The highest temperature in the country on Monday was 46C, which was recorded in Batna, followed by 45C in Sheehaniyah, Al Rayyan and other places. In the capital, the mercury level reached a high of 44C in the Doha airport and Qatar University areas.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature will be 43C in Abu Samra and 40C in Doha, Dukhan, Messaied and Wakrah
