Humidity expected to intensify by Monday night

Strong winds and high seas are expected in offshore areas on Monday even as humid conditions are likely to intensify by night, the Met department has said.

The wind speed will range from 12-22 knots in offshore areas, going up to 28 knots towards the east, according to the weather report.
The highest temperature in the country on Sunday was 45C, which was recorded in Karanah, followed by 44C in Batna and Turayna. In the capital, the mercury level reached a high of 40C in the Doha airport area.
On Monday, the maximum temperature will be 42C in Dukhan and 40C in Doha.
The forecast for inshore areas is that hazy to misty conditions are expected in some places at first, along with clouds. It will be hot during the day while humid and hazy conditions are likely by night.
Offshore areas, meanwhile, will remain hazy and some clouds are also expected. The sea level may rise to 7ft towards the east.
