Qatar Stars beat Pakistan Stars by a narrow margin of 9 runs in a Twenty20 match at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Doha.
Having won the toss and decided to bat first, Qatar Stars were given a good start by Kamran Khan. In the first six overs, Kamran scored 55 runs and hit 5 sixes, which enabled the hosts set a target of 151 runs in 20 overs. Kamran made 59,while Rizlan and Rizwan made 27 and 25 respectively. For Pakistan stars, man of the match Saeed Ajmal took four wickets.  In reply, Pakistan Stars could only manage 141 for 9 in 20 overs. For Qatar, captain Iqbal Chaudhry took 3 wickets.
Both the teams had renowned international Pakistan players like Salman Butt, Abdul Razzaq, Saeed Ajmal, and Mohammad Sami.
The tournament was organised by Ibn Ajayan Projects, the managers of Asian Town, in association with Pro Events, an international Sports Event Management Company in Qatar.  This is the third year that Pro Events has organised a cricket tournament in Qatar.
