The Eidieh festival at Qatar National Convention Centre has attracted a large number of visitors from within and outside the country.
The high turnout has been attributed to the various activities on offer as well as the availability of a large space, according to a statement.
The festival, with its various artistic and musical shows, has provided joy and lots to enjoy for many families and other visitors from the GCC region during the Eid holidays.
Besides, a number of contests and fun activities have been held to engage visitors, with the participants receiving prizes.
An official of a company sponsoring the festival said that the event features a number of elements, including a bazaar that hosts more than 200 stores from 15 countries, displaying different kinds of products.
He said that traditional handicraft products from various countries have also been a big success. The venue has a large air-conditioned space, where visitors have access to fun and entertaining activities and can also do shopping.
A number of activities are targeted at children and a special kids’ play area has also been allocated, featuring a variety of games.
The official observed that many GCC tourists, including those from Saudi Arabia, have been keen to enjoy the festival and also shop at the festival there. In addition, the venue features several eateries and provides visitors with ample parking facilities.
The recreational, heritage and folk festival began during the holy month of Ramadan and continues until July 30.
The festival has been a big draw among families.
