The Ministry of Municipality and Environment has conducted eight inspection campaigns covering 29 hotels in Doha.
The hotels of four and five-star categories were located in Old Salata, West Bay, Al Dafna, Najma, The Pearl, Legtaifiya, the Diplomatic District, Ras Abu Aboud, among others.
The campaigns, which began on June 14, revealed a number of violations, including non-compliance with health requirements in terms of cleanliness, storage and maintenance of sanitation, lack of attention to waste containers and the lack of licences from the relevant municipality, in addition to violations related to food expiry dates, and operation of workers without health certificates.
The inspection teams took legal action against the hotels.
The campaigns aimed at ensuring food safety and the application of health requirements.
