The ranking compiled by the news outlet lists the best airports in the world that make the journey as enjoyable as reaching the destination.
HIA has been lauded for its top-notch facilities and services including its 25-metre swimming pool, complimentary quiet rooms, the children’s toy store at Qatar Duty Free, the airport’s award-winning shopping emporium, and the iconic Lamp Bear sculpture by artist Urs Fischer - one among several artistic media installed at the airport including paintings, sculptures, and electronic and interactive installations.
