Katara - the Cultural Village has unveiled its Ramadan workshops that give children a glimpse on how to create a lantern using solar kits and recyclable materials.
The workshops are part of Katara’s Ramadan festivities launched this year dubbed as “Human Creation in the Holy Qur’an.”
It starts with the Shams Generation (Generation of the Sun) activity at Building 19 from 8pm to 10pm.
Children who want to create hand sculpture with wax can also visit Katara for a chance to place their hand print on a panel at Building 13.
Besides these workshops, Katara will also entertain its visitors on Garangao night set on the 14th of Ramadan by distributing gifts and giveaways to children along Katara’s pathways.
Katara’s Ramadan events will continue throughout the holy month, including the firing of the Iftar cannon and the traditional Al Mesahar activities. Islamic lectures, interactive workshops and informative exhibitions will also dominate the spiritual scene of Ramadan at Katara.
