HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday visited the headquarters of the National Command Centre in Duhail district to get acquainted with the Electronic Security Shield Project, particularly information security in the financial sector.
He was briefed on the nature of information security in the banking and financial sector within the project and its role in securing data and protecting information in the sector in general in the face of fraud, forgery and other financial crimes, in order to strengthen the country’s banking sector security and ensure customers’ confidence.
HE Sheikh Abdullah was accompanied during the visit by Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Governor HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud al-Thani and QCB Deputy Governor HE Sheikh Fahad bin Faisal bin Thani al-Thani.
