‘Trade in Islam’ forum on Monday
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in co-operation with Sheikh Eid Charity, is set to organise a ‘Trade in Islam’ forum at 10pm, at Sheikh Eid charity theatre hall at Hazm Al Markhiya on Monday.
The forum is part of MEC’s Ramadan initiatives. A group of senior Muslim scholars and clergymen discuss the impact of Islam on the concept of trade and its regulations.
They will also talk about the social role of trade within the Islamic perspective. This is the third edition of the forum.
Greetings sent to Portuguese leader
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday sent separate cables of congratulations to Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa on the occasion of his country’s National Day.
