HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah at Dasman Palace in Kuwait City yesterday.
At the outset of the meeting, they exchanged greetings and congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, and reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and means to develop and promote them in different fields.
The two sides also exchanged views on a host of issues that serve the interests of the two brotherly countries and support the GCC joint action in the face of current challenges, and discussed the Arab and international issues along with issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by HH the Special Representative of HH the Emir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, and Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.
On the Kuwaiti side, the meeting was attended by Crown Prince Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah, Speaker of National Assembly Marzouq Ali al-Ghanim, Prime Minister Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah and a number of Kuwaiti sheikhs and ministers and senior officials.
HH the Emir and his accompanying delegation later attended an Iftar banquet hosted by the Emir of Kuwait.
HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani last night returned to Doha.
