The site – www.hamad.qa/ramadanhealth – contains important information on healthy eating as well as other strategies for staying safe and well during Ramadan.
“We have used our healthcare expertise and knowledge to develop information on common health issues during Ramadan as well as tips to help you and your family stay healthy,” said Ali al-Khater, chief communications officer, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), and chairman of the Supreme Committee for Healthcare Communications.
“On the site, you will find information on managing diabetes while fasting, ensuring that you are hydrated, healthy eating tips as well as a range of other topics.”
Al-Khater said the site would be regularly updated throughout Ramadan and the tips would also be shared across the MoPH, HMC, Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) social media channels. One would also be able to access the site from each of the organisation’s websites.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to wish our patients and the community a healthy and safe Ramadan,” al-Khater said.
The Supreme Committee for Healthcare Communications consists of members from HMC and PHCC in addition to the MoPH.
