The Ministry of Transport and Communication (MoTC) is conducting a 'Road Iftar' Campaign, distributing 200 Iftar meals daily to motorists.
The campaign is being conducted on the directives of HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti in collaboration with Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF).
The light meals are distributed to motorists, and the accompanying passengers , who happen to be on the road at the time for breaking the fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.
The snack boxes are mostly given at the traffic signals to help motorists avoid hurrying to catch up with Iftar time.
The campaign aims to enhance road safety and decrease the possibility of accidents due to such rush.
