Vodafone has announced that it is holding the second edition of its fundraising challenge.
As part of Vodafone’s #GivingChallenge, three Qatari social media influencers will use their social media followership to raise funds for their chosen charity during the holy month of Ramadan.
Asma al-Hamadi, Eid al-Sulaity and Abdulrahman al-Harmozi will use their social media channels to encourage followers to vote for their chosen charities via Vodafone’s mobile app, My Vodafone, available on Apple Store and Google Play.
For every vote, Vodafone will donate QR10 to each charity by the end of the campaign on June 25. In addition to the votes, the followers of each personality can make a donation to the charities via SMS from their own credit.
The first edition of Vodafone’s #GivingChallenge raised QR450,000 for charities in Qatar and reached 3mn people via social media, the company said.
