Ooredoo yesterday congratulated Al Sadd for winning the first ever Ooredoo Fan Cup, at a private ceremony in Doha.
Ooredoo Fan Cup is voted for by the public and Al Sadd fans demonstrated great dedication to the team by voting 115 times for the club during this year’s Emir Cup.
The Ooredoo Fan Cup trophy was presented by Ooredoo COO Yousuf al-Kubaisi to Al Sadd Fans Committee head Jassim al-Ali and his assistant Naji Mohamed.
Al-Kubaisi said, “We’re proud to award Al Sadd with the first ever Ooredoo Fan Cup trophy and congratulate them, and their fans, on the win. We launched this contest as part of our support as the main telecommunication partner and three-year sponsor of the Emir Cup, and would like to thank the QFA (Qatar Football Association) for their ongoing hard work and for a brilliant 2016 tournament.”
Ooredoo Fan Cup was designed in collaboration with the QFA and enables football fans across Qatar to vote for their favourite Emir Cup participating team.
All Emir Cup fans voted for their team by posting a video or photo on the dedicated website www.ooredoo.qa/fanscup or recording a message at the dedicated Fan Cup booth in Landmark Mall.
