Qatar Chemical Company (Q-Chem) has won the President’s Award for Operational Excellence in the large petrochemical manufacturing facility category of the 2015 Chevron Phillips Chemical Company (Chevron Phillips Chemical) award programme.
The award is presented annually to the “best of the best” of Chevron Phillips Chemical’s facilities and company affiliates, recognising “exceptional performance in personal safety, process safety, environmental, product stewardship, reliability and security”, according to a statement from Q-Chem.
Winners are chosen from eligible facilities, which must meet a set of stringent criteria.
This is the second time that Q-Chem has received the award.
On the occasion, Q-Chem CEO Saad Rashid al-Muhannadi said: “Being bestowed with this prestigious award is a real testament to the safety culture of the site and our employees and contractors.
“We are proud of this significant accomplishment and wish to convey our deepest thanks and appreciation for everyone’s strong efforts in making outstanding operational excellence performance one of Q-Chem’s strongest values.”
