Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, a showcase of abayas and traditional Arabic attire, is set to open today at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani, chairman of Qatar Chamber. It will run until June 6.
The event will be open daily from 10am to 10pm, except on the opening day when it starts at 6pm and Friday when it opens at 3pm.
Some of the most reputable designers will be on display at the exhibition, including Debaj, Jo La Mode, Al Mutahajiba, Al Dukan, M Jay Design and Harlenz from Qatar; Hessa Alflasi, Anatomi, Manal al-Ahmadi, Anaya Collections, Sogha and Murikan from the UAE; Sahar al-Homoud from Kuwait; Haifa Fahad from Saudi Arabia and Dar Naseen Alandolos from Bahrain.
Highlights of the women-only event are fashion shows today and tomorrow and specialised workshops for make-up and hair. The exhibition
is spread over 5,777sqm and hosts around 200 exhibitors.  
Th exhibition is organised by Qatar Tourism Authority and delivered by Design Creationz. This edition is supported by strategic partners Qatar Chamber, Qatar Businesswomen Forum, in addition to Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship, Intercontinental Doha - The City and Make Up District.
“The stage is set for the Heya exhibition and we are delighted with the response from designers and exhibitors,” said Shaikha AlSulaiti, Design Creationz spokesperson.
