A stretch of Al Hazm Street that connects to the southbound lanes on Al Gharrafa Street will be closed to traffic for three weeks starting from Thursday.
During the closure period, road users travelling south on the Al Gharrafa Street can access the local area by taking an earlier exit onto Al Anhar Street (as shown in the map).
The closure is needed to alter the existing junction between Al Gharrafa Street and Al Hazm Street to a signalised intersection, according to an Ashghal communique.
Ashghal has requested the road users to abide by the speed limits, which will remain at 80 kph along Al Gharrafa Street and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
