Dolphin Energy Limited yesterday announced it has received, for the first time, the Crystal Award in the “Supporting Student Sponsorships 2015” category at the 16th annual Qatarisation Review Meeting of the energy and industry sector’s five-year Strategic Qatarisation Plan.
The award was received by Dolphin Energy general manager (Qatar) Hassan al-Emadi from HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada and Qatar Petroleum president and CEO Saad Sherida al-Kaabi in Doha recently.
This year’s award has been given in recognition of Dolphin Energy’s “outstanding performance” in the field of supporting student sponsorships in 2015 and “reflects the enhancements the company has made in order to engage with young, talented Qataris looking to build long, successful careers in the oil and gas sector,” according to a statement.
The company’s sponsorship programme is also providing more opportunities for its national employees to develop while helping meet anticipated business needs in the years ahead, the statement noted.
Commenting on the achievement, al-Emadi said: “It is a proud moment for Dolphin Energy. To win this award takes a lot of hard work, dedication and commitment to our values. Dolphin Energy has taken all the necessary measures to maintain its commitments towards Qatar National Vision 2030, the community and Qatari nationals.”
This is the fifth year running that Dolphin Energy has been recognised for its Qatarisation commitments and the fourth year in a row that the company has won a Crystal award at the annual meeting, having been recognised in another category, Support for Training and Development, in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
The company has also received an Appreciation Certificate every year to complement its commitment to Qatarisation, the statement added.
