Qatar Charity (QC) has said it is continuing to offer urgent relief aid to the people of Aleppo, Syria, through its field team.
The team identifies the needs and offers food and health relief services based on the results.
In a press statement, Mohamed Rashid al-Ka’bi, director of operation management at QC, spoke about how QC has finished working on providing ambulances, drinking water tanks, flour for bakeries and formula milk for children.
“QC’s field team has finished identifying the supplies that will be distributed to the people of Aleppo,” he added. “These will include food baskets, cooked meals and dates until the distressed families are supplied with cooking tools and bread. Some shelters will also be equipped for them, including mattresses, blankets, food storage cans and lighting
equipment”.
He encouraged all philanthropists in Qatar to urgently aid their brothers and sisters in Syria, who are suffering from continuous shelling. “The aid, although difficult to distribute, has reached the beneficiaries.”
QC called for an urgent relief campaign for the sake of the distressed Syrians in Aleppo (#Relieve_Aleppo), allocating QR10,000,000 as urgent relief money to meet the Syrians’ needs.
Aired on Tuesday night at 8, the ‘Tafreej Korba’ programme will have a special episode for the #Relieve_Aleppo campaign. It is prepared by QC in partnership and co-operation with Qur’an Radio in Doha.
