Qatar Steel has awarded 320 employees, who have completed 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service, in recognition and appreciation of their efforts and dedication.
The ceremony was held at Qapco’s Club in Mesaieed Industrial City.
Speaking on the occasion, Ali bin Hassan al-Muraikhi, Qatar Steel managing director and general manager, expressed hope that honouring the long-service employees would provide them with further encouragement to work hard and inspire them to remain productive and set a good example for colleagues to follow and excel.
“Since its inception, Qatar Steel takes great interest in honouring its long-service employees due to the importance we attach to the manpower, who are our genuine assets and the key for the company’s success and continual progress,” al-Muraikhi said. He also pointed out that Qatar Steel’s management was proud to embrace a pool of technical specialists and highly skilled staff.
The company was always keen to train, develop and qualify its employees through training and vocational development programmes in various disciplines and areas, in line with its strategic vision, it was observed.
Al-Muraikhi commended the employees for their good performance, competence and high sense of responsibility, which have all “positively impacted productivity and sales and enabled Qatar Steel to maintain its good reputation in local and GCC markets”.
He concluded the speech by congratulating the awardees, urging them to continue their good work and to keep the company’s image high. He extended his best wishes to all awardees for success and prosperity in the future.
