Doha Bank has announced the launch of its 2016 campaign for the Al Dana Savings Scheme, the “most popular” savings account in Qatar, raising the curtain on another year of exciting rewards and life-changing opportunities for its customers.
The 13th edition of Al Dana Savings Scheme includes a QR1mn prize each month and will see a total of 534 prizes announced over the course of 2016 - up to 54 prizes each month.
The first Al Dana millionaire of 2016 was announced on April 28 at a public draw held at the Doha Bank’s branch in Abu Hamour, Dar Al Salam.
The event, which featured kids’ entertainment such as face painting and balloons twisting, was streamed live on all Doha Bank’s social media platforms and elected one lucky QR1mn winner along with 53 other cash prize winners.
So far, Doha Bank has announced more than 2,500 prize winners, including 41 millionaires, and has given away in excess of QR106mn in cash over the past 12 editions of the Al Dana Savings Scheme.
“Al Dana Savings Scheme is celebrating 13 years of making dreams come true, and its appeal and popularity has grown manifold over the years, matching the ever-expanding size of its prize pool,” said Doha Bank CEO Dr R Seetharaman.
“The scheme continues to generate tremendous interest among all segments of the population, and we, at Doha Bank, are committed to rewarding our customers’ trust and confidence in us by offering them opportunities to further improve their odds of winning life-changing rewards,” he said.
This year, Al Dana customers will have the opportunity to multiply their chances of winning, thanks to a loyalty-focused prize structure that ensures the draws are based on savings balances. This means that customers can increase their chances of winning by saving more and keeping their Al Dana balances for longer.
For example, Al Dana customers maintaining a minimum average quarterly balance of QR 10,000 and above will double their chances of winning in their category, while those maintaining a minimum six months average of QR10,000 and above will triple their chances.
Doha Bank is also providing Al Dana customers with access to immediate liquidity with the offer of a credit card, as well as a loan against their deposit, which again would allow customers to triple their chances for winning.
In addition to the 10 grand prizes of QR1mn each, Al Dana Savings Scheme’s cash bonanza for its 2016 campaign includes 10 prizes of QR100,000 each, 50 prizes of QR10,000 each, 100 prizes of QR5,000 each, and 300 prizes of QR2,000 each.
Furthermore, 50 prizes of QR2,000 each will be offered exclusively to customers who open an Al Dana account in 2016, along with 10 scholarship prizes of QR25,000 each to be awarded to “Young Saver” account holders to recognise their commitment to saving at an early age.
Also part of this year’s rewards offering are quarterly prizes of KD2,500 each exclusively offered to Al Dana customers in
Kuwait.
Al Dana Savings Scheme offers customers a wide range of banking benefits including a free VISA international debit card and online, SMS and mobile banking services. In addition, customers can manage their utility bill payments through their Al Dana account and transfer funds across multiple accounts and to third parties, as well as send money overseas at the most competitive exchange rates.
To open an Al Dana account, customers can visit the nearest Doha Bank branch or send an SMS to 92610 with the keyword “DANA,” or fill up a simple online application form.
