Sony has launched a new partnership with the Qatar Photography Club and Fifty One East, the exclusive distributor of Sony products in Qatar.
The announcement was made at a workshop in Doha where a group of photography enthusiasts had the chance to experience Sony’s new Alpha 6300 camera, G Master lenses and a preview of the RX10 III that will be launched in May.
Sony had recently announced in Doha the winners of the Sony FotoArabia Picathon challenge that attracted entries from across the Middle East region.
“By partnering with the Qatar Photography Club we hope to help them in their objective to develop and support photography and photographic art among communities across the country,” said Yuji Toyozumi, head of Digital Imaging, Sony Middle East and Africa.
Ziad Asmar, director at Darwish Holding, described that the partnership denotes the company’s commitment to support events from all disciplines which helps the community to spread cultural and social awareness.
Qatar Photography Club Social Media co-ordinator Saleh al-Marri announced plans to conduct a number of photography workshops for its members and photography enthusiasts in Qatar with the help of Sony and Fifty One East.
During the workshop, Doha-based commercial and lifestyle photographer Karolina Bak spoke about her experiences with Sony’s Alpha 6300 camera and shared a number of images she captured around the country.
