More than 100 of the country’s strategy experts, leaders and professionals came together at Katara - the Cultural Village for the seventh session of the Qatar Strategy Execution Community.
The event was titled ‘Strategy Execution in a Time of Constraints’.
The strategy gathering was organised by Palladium in collaboration with Katara under the patronage of Drs Kaplan & Norton, the world’s leading authority on strategic performance management and co-founder of Palladium Strategy Execution Consulting.
The event was opened by the speeches of Katara general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti and Palladium Group CEO Kim Bredhauer.
Dr al-Sulaiti stressed that convening the seventh edition of the forum was an indication of the event’s success. “The forum has become the umbrella under which strategist leaders from both private and public sectors meet together to exchange views on best practices in strategic planning and execution, which is in line with Katara’s vision and strategy supporting networking and cultural exchange,” he added.
Bredhauer continued by sharing an example of the Palladium group in delivering innovative solutions for governments in collaboration with the private sector around the globe, mentioning that “breakthrough solutions to challenges should always consider sustainable positive impact for all stakeholders”.
James Creelman explained on how an understanding of performance measurement and data analytics improves strategy execution. In his presentation, he explained how to more accurately predict future performance.
Addressing the second topic of the session, dedicated to advancing innovation to achieve real impact, Barbora Stankovicova emphasised that “although all companies agree that they must innovate to adapt to market and constraints, majority of them do not know how to measure the innovation and impact on their business”. She stressed that the “government and organisation must develop a systematic approach for innovation, continuously developing capability, processes and platforms and manage the performance to deliver results”.
Finally, the attendees had the chance to participate in a group discussion where they tried to analyse and adapt the above topics to government and private entities in Qatar.
