Katara Hospitality has introduced “Katara Specialties,” a contemporary initiative designed to highlight the evolution of the organisation’s food and beverage concepts, at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which opened in Dubai yesterday.
The initiative, which serves to create authentic Qatari cuisine mystique within all of the organisation’s local and international hotels, is characterised by signature dishes that exhibit “the flavoursome warmth of Qatari hospitality.”
The concept has been created to showcase the rich Qatari heritage and Arabian hospitality, while adding to the diverse and enriching dining experiences for esteemed guests.
“We are pleased to introduce Katara Specialities at ATM 2016 as we aim to offer our distinguished guests unique culinary experiences that are reminiscent of the authenticity of Qatari heritage and Arabic culture,” Katara Hospitality CEO Hamad Abdulla al-Mulla said.
As part of Katara Specialties, the culinary selections available for tasting at the event will be rolled out in all-day dining restaurants and room service menu offerings across 23 operational Katara Hospitality hotels in 11 countries.

Ministry recalls Lexus LX 470
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Company, has announced the recall of Lexus LX 470 models of 2002-2006 regarding airbag control unit programing.
The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicles’ defects and repair them.
The MEC will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works. Advisory Council holds meeting
The Advisory Council held its weekly meeting yesterday chaired by HE the Speaker Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.  
HE the Secretary-General of the Advisory Council Fahad bin Mubarak al-Khayareen read out the agenda which was agreed upon.
The Council discussed a draft law amending some provisions of law No. 18 for 1997 regarding the Scout and Guide Association of Qatar and decided to submit its recommendations to the Council of Ministers.

Qatar-Finland ties discussed
President of Finland Sauli Niinisto has met Qatar’s non-resident ambassador Saud bin Abdullah Zaid al-Mahmoud during the annual ceremony of the ambassadors accredited in Helsinki. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations.
