A Doha Criminal Court has fined an Asian motorist QR10,000 for jumping the red light and crashing into another vehicle.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported on Sunday that the court convicted the man based on the traffic police report and investigations.
The motorist admitted that he could not stop at the red light and continued driving, which made him hit another vehicle, causing minor injuries to the other motorist.
The victim did not submit any medical reports to the court indicating a percentage of disability. Accordingly, the court convicted the man of reckless driving and failing to abide by the traffic rules and regulations.
