A Doha Criminal Court is hearing a case in which a man is accused of breaking into the house of a neighbour and disturbing her peace. According to local Arabic daily Arrayah, the defendant claimed that he did not attempt to break into his neighbour’s house or try to disturb her in any way. He, however, told the court that they had some disagreement over her children playing near his house, saying they had broken the windshield of his vehicle once while playing. The policeman who received the complaint testified before the court that when he went to the spot for inspection, the accused was not present in his neighbour’s house. The man also calmly drove to the police station to complete the necessary procedures, he noted. The case was adjourned for depositions by more witnesses and also to let the complainant present her case as she did not attend the previous hearing.
