Qatar Charity (QC) has opened a new school in Haji Gong Bazar region in Bangladesh, taking to 56 the number of schools established by the charity in the South Asian country. 
The new school is around 230km away from the capital, Dhaka. The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Arif Khan Joey, Minister of Sports and Youth in Bangladesh. The school is built on an area of 550sq m and more than 500 male and female students are expected to benefit at both the middle 
and high school levels. 
The establishment of this school, cost around QR318,000. QC has spent more than QR20mn on the schools project in 
Bangladesh.
