Ooredoo has announced the launch of the Rishtey Asia channel on its Ooredoo tv service.
Ooredoo tv, which was launched earlier this year and will replace Mozaic TV, offers an evolution in home entertainment services - combining apps, on-demand and live television in an “easy-to-use” box, the company said in a statement.
“Thanks to this update, Ooredoo tv viewers can now enjoy a brand-new channel from India with Rishtey Asia, a variety entertainment channel showcasing content from genres such as fiction, non-fiction and the best of Bollywood movies,” the statement noted.
The new channel brings a host of international programming and up-to-date Bollywood content to Qatar, offering viewers more choice. It showcases the “best of content” from India, Pakistan and Turkey, along with blockbuster films such as Brothers and Gangster.
Customers can also enjoy the award-winning Turkish programme, PabandIshq, a dramatic love story, and Rakkt, a non-fiction show that talks about ancient India.
With an understanding of audience segmentation across geographies, Rishtey Asia’s primetime offerings have been customised to every market’s viewing needs.
Ooredoo tv viewers can enjoy Rishtey Asia via channel number 812, while Mozaic TV subscribers can watch Rishtey Asia on channel number 254.
“Ooredoo tv continues to add compelling content for users in Qatar, as it invests in programmes from around the world to cater to the country’s diverse population,” the statement added.
Existing Mozaic TV customers who want to upgrade to Ooredoo tv can visit any Ooredoo retail shop, order and collect a free Ooredoo tv play device.
Ooredoo tv offers features such as 4K resolution, time shift, Android apps, parental control, thousands of hours of on-demand content and more at no extra cost.  It is available via Ooredoo shops, Starlink, TechnoBlue and Jumbo outlets. The service has no upfront charges, no equipment costs and no ongoing contracts.
