Save the Dream, the global initiative that aims to promote and protect the values and integrity of sport in young people, has launched a new Community Affiliation Programme for clubs, academies and sports clubs to help raise awareness and promote the values of sport to young people.
Launched at a start-studded event in Milan during Save the Dream Week, the new Community Affiliation Programme will aim to establish a global family of Save the Dream affiliated sport clubs, academies and associations across different sports who will commit to spreading the core values of sport within their communities, promote sport and its educational role at the grass-roots level as well as condemning discrimination and other breaches to the purity of sport.
Speaking of the new programme, Mohammed Hanzab, President of the ICSS and Founder of Save the Dream said: “This new Community Affiliation Programme is an important initiative for Save the Dream which will aim to reach out and make a real difference to lives of young people, as well local clubs, communities and broader society.
“By utilising Save the Dream’s global network, affiliated clubs and associations around the world will be able to work together to share their experiences to help combat many of the growing challenges now facing young people in the world today and at the same time receive a range of benefits through their association with a leading international foundation like Save the Dream.
“By working together and creating a global family that is committed to promoting the positive values of sport, the Save the Dream Community Affiliation Programme can help unite different cultures and communities through the power of sport.”
During the launch of the new Affiliation programme, Piacenza Calcio 1919 was also announced as the first Italian club to sign up the initiative and have pledged their commitment to the programme by signing the Save the Dream manifesto.
Marco Gatti, Piacenza Calcio 1919 said:“On behalf of Piacenza Calcio 1919, I am honoured that Piacenza has become the first Italian Club to join the Save the Dream Community Affiliation Programme.

I encourage other clubs to join the programme and look forward to being part of the Save the Dream global family.”
