HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce, Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani, met Lord O’Neill of Gatley, the Commercial Secretary to the Treasury in the United Kingdom, who is currently visiting Qatar. Talks dealt with relations between Qatar and the UK and aspects of co-operation, especially in economic, trade and investment fields and means of enhancing them. The State of Qatar and the United Kingdom have historic ties including co-operation in all economic areas. Bilateral relations witnessed rapid development, an increase in investment and growth in trade between the two countries. In 2015, the trade value amounted to QR19.4bn (equivalent of $ 5.3bn).
