Oman's Sultan Qaboos returned on Tuesday from Germany after a successful medical checkup on his progress following lengthy treatment there in 2014 and 2015, a royal court statement said.
The 75-year-old Sultan spent around two months in Germany and came home "after completing routine medical examinations... which showed good, hoped-for results", said the statement read out on state television.
State television reported at the time that his treatment was a "total success".
