Georgian Minister of Agriculture Otar Danelia, who is currently visiting Doha, has invited Qatari businessmen to visit his country and explore the trade and investment opportunities available in it.
This came during Danelia’s meeting at Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (QC) yesterday, attended by QC board member Mohamed Ahmed al-Obaidly and Georgia’s ambassador to Qatar Ekaterine Meiering-Mikadze.
The meeting dealt with ways of strengthening economic and trade relations between the Qatari businessmen and their Georgia counterparts in addition to the investment opportunities available in both countries.
The Georgian Minister welcomed Qatari investments, and made a presentation on the key sectors in which businessmen can invest such as transport, tourism, food security, and especially agriculture, which constitutes 10% of the total Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country.
Mohamed al-Obaidly stressed that Qatari businessmen are looking to explore opportunities in the areas of agriculture and real estate, as well as other sectors in Georgia.
