Domasco, the authorised distributor for Volvo trucks in Qatar, has delivered 42 Volvo FMX trucks to Desert Stream, a newly established joint venture.
Desert Stream was initiated to serve the logistical needs of its two founding companies - Omega Engineering, a well-known road, civil and electro mechanical contracting company with an Asphalt factory in Mesaieed and Ghandour Brothers, pioneers in bulk material trading in the Middle East and Gulf region.
Faisal Sharif, managing director, Domasco, expressed delight with Volvo Trucks’ strong
sales performance in Qatar.
“Volvo Trucks has increased its market penetration during the past years and is witnessing a solid growth,” he said, adding that the Swedish brand continues to focus on the core values of quality, safety and care for the environment.
Mohamed Majeed, sales and marketing manager of commercial vehicles at Domasco, said Volvo trucks provide complete transport solutions for business-driven customers and help them meet day-to-day challenges.
“With ground-breaking features, Volvo FMX trucks guarantee maximum productivity in extreme surface conditions by transporting large loads, quickly and efficiently.
“Volvo is pushing the limits on what premium trucks can offer, setting a new benchmark for transportation. The FMX range introduces a unique feature - the intelligent I-Shift automated gearbox technology, optimised for tough and rugged mining operating conditions,” he added.
