HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday held telephone conversation with  President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.  
During the phone call, they discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and Russia and means to enhance them and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of joint interest, notably the latest developments in Syria.

Advisory Council discusses HR law
The Advisory Council held its weekly regular session chaired by its Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.
The Council reviewed a draft law on the protection of privacy of personal data and decided to refer it to the Services and Public Facilities Committee to study it and furnish a report to the Council.  It also discussed a report by the Legal and Legislative Affairs committee on a draft law for the issuance of the human resources law and decided to refer its recommendations thereon to the Cabinet.
Meanwhile, the Advisory Council’s Public Services and Utilities Committee held its first meeting of the 44th ordinary session under its rapporteur Saqr Fahd al-Mereikhi.  
The Committee studied a draft law on the protection of personal data and decided to complete its study at another meeting.

Speaker meets envoy of Tunisia
HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi yesterday met Tunisia’s ambassador to Qatar Salah al-Salhi.
They discussed bilateral relations at the parliamentary level and means to enhance them.  
HE Secretary-General of the Advisory Council Fahd bin Mubarak al-Khayareen attended the meeting.

Armed forces exercises
The General Command of the Qatari Armed Forces has announced that the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) will conduct exercises on March 30 at the Lekhwiya camp and Saliyah field from 7 am to 10 am.

Qatar condemns torching of Palestinian’s home
Qatar has condemned in the strongest terms the heinous and barbaric crime committed by the Israeli settlers who burned the home of the sole witness in the arson attack on Saad Dawabsheh family that took place in July 2015.
Jassim Sayar al-Maawda, second secretary at Qatar’s permanent delegation to the UN office in Geneva, made the remarks when he addressed a session on human rights in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories, under Article 7 of the 31st session of the Human Rights Council.
Al -Maawda said that the crime of burning the house of the only witness is an episode of a long series of crimes terrorising the Palestinian people, killing children and storming the Aqsa Mosque in order to implement its policy to Judaise Jerusalem.

Ministry recalls Maserati models
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Alfardan Sports Motors, has announced the recall of Maserati V8 Quattroporte models of 2014-2015 to fix a weakness in the electrical wiring. The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicles’ defects and repair them.
The MEC will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
